Facilities Support Technician

Under the direction of the Facilities Director, the Facilities Support Technician is responsible for maintaining a secure and well- functioning work environment for staff, patients and guests.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Facilities

• Manage incoming and interoffice mail and packages and deliver to respective sites.
• Manage purchase order system and update PO statuses.
• Assist Purchasing Coordinator in inventory maintenance.
• Travel for role related matters to various sites, as needed.
• Monitor ticketing system for incoming requests
• Perform basic facility repairs in, but not limited to, painting, carpentry, plumbing and electrical
• Manage and support the set up and breakdown of furniture and props for various weekly social events throughout the buildings.
• Liaison for vendors when accessing the office to conduct scheduled services.

Safety Team member

• Assist and help initiate fire drills
• Assist in inspections and audits as required
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, i.e proper inspection of fire extinguishers removal of hazardous materials from all areas accessible to employees, patients and guests, etc.

Additional Duties

• And other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Expertise in the following areas, typically gained from one year experience in a facilities/administrative role:
  • Microsoft Office applications and work order management systems
  • Ability to welcome direction and requests, take appropriate notes as required to execute with minimal guidance and to understand the processes in place to perform in accordance with expectations
• Self-motivated, energetic, with inherit ability to learn, and improve efficiencies through collaboration
• Driver's License, in good standing required for this role.
• Ability to perform lifting (weight varies based on product), walking, standing, climbing.

PREFERRED BACKGROUND

• Shipping/receiving experience
• Work in healthcare
